REQUIREMENTS: Qualification leading to registration with SANC as a Registered Nursing Assistant with current Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC 2024). Passion for working with patients. Ability to work in a team and independently, good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of the National Core Standards, Public Service Regulations, Batho-Pele Principles, SANC Regulations, and Patients’ Bill of Rights.

DUTIES: Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality as well as provide optimal patient care. Assist with elimination processes. Provide basic nursing care. Measure, interpret, and record vital signs. Assist with activities of daily living (maintaining hygiene, providing nutrition, and assisting with mobility and elimination processes). Provide basic clinical care (measuring, interpreting, and recording vital signs, administering oral medications and injections under the direct supervision of a registered nurse). Accompany patients for clinical research when required. Conduct health education and other group activities for patients. Participate in infection prevention and control activities. Report and record patient incidents as per hospital protocols. Maintain professional conduct as required by the Public Service Code of Conduct and SANC. Fill in for other wards when required. Day and night shifts.
